Title: Head Wrestling Coach   

 

Reports to:  Athletics Director

 

Qualifications: Certified teacher or qualify for Rule 10 certification through the Kansas State High School Activities Association. 

 

Purpose and Objectives of the Position:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Athletics and the general supervision of the building principal, the head wrestling coach is responsible for promoting a wrestling program in which the student can excel to his full potential while competing in an atmosphere that adds to his total education including his physical well being, moral character and social and mental development.  

 

Position assists in weigh-ins, supervises the cleaning of mats, and aids in the setting up of mats for wrestling practices.  Acts as a liaison person in relating the district wrestling program to the staff, administration, general public, and the local news media.  Develops and administers a continuous off-season conditioning and recruitment

program.

 

Pre-Employment/Yearly Requirements: Employee shall meet all the pre-employment and yearly requirements as specified in the Policies of the Board of Education.

 

Term of Employment: Varies by Sport


Salary: Stipend, based on the USD #453 Supplemental Schedule


FLSA Status: Non - Exempt


Evaluation: Performance effectiveness will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of Board of Education Policy.
