Purpose and Objectives of the Position: The Interventionist works in conjunction with the Assistant Superintendent, Instructional Facilitator, and the Building Principal.. The Interventionist will assist students in the quest to increase student learning and success.
Performance responsibilities general administration:
- Uses data from multiple sources to identify and assist at-risk students in grades 1-4
- Coordinates with the Principal, and Teachers a schedule to accommodate identified students in the program.
- Attends training sessions as the building and district administration directs
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the board adopted curriculum standards.
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the Kansas State Assessments.
- Provides instruction to small groups of at-risk students as directed by the Principal, and Teachers.
- Works closely with classroom teachers to coordinate efforts of the intervention program with the regular classroom to promote student success.
- Maintains required data on individual student progress and disseminates data to principal, teachers, and parents and interim report and report card periods.
- Compiles reports as needed.
